Every afternoon from the end of June to the middle of August the museum comes alive by more than 100 people, dressed in old costumes.

You can go shopping in the old grocer's shop, in the clog maker's workshop and in the coach builder's and cooper's workshops or at the printing house. We can recommend a visit to the restaurant and cafeteria "Skyttegården".

The forestry museum houses i.a. a steam sawmill, where a traction engine drives the block saw.

In the bog cultivation museum you will find a horse-drawn peat mixing works and a narrowgauge peat railway with a small engine from 1921.

The Stone Age settlement is a chapter by itself where especially children watch for hours as the Stone Age tribe makes flint implements, dugouts, pottery and clothing. Men go fishing and hunting on the lake, using bow and arrow.

Christmas Activities

During three weekends before Christmas you can see how the villagers made preparations for Christmas. You can go shopping in the old grocer's shop and there are people working all over the village.
