In the old days the goose was an important domestic animal in the countryside.
The goose supplied both money and food; for instance, it was an element in toys, writing utensils, fuel, cleaning utensils and feather beds. It was also an excellent watch keeper, because it would honk whenever visitors arrived.
Learn about the goose and it's history – experience the fun and quirky exhibition at Hjerl Hede this summer.
