You are here: Home COLLECTIONS The old village Water mill |
The building is a copy of the Karmark Mill near Viborg.
Dominated by the very large grinders and wooden cogwheels, the equipment comes from Eriksholm Mill at the southern part of Jutland.
At the east wall one can see the very rare buckwheat grinder and sieve, and under the window the handle for the sluice gate which regulates the water supply to the undershot wheel.
The mill is operating for short periods by water from the village pond.
