Thebarn was built circa 1840 in Sorring, a town in the eastern part of Jutland.
It is a half-timbered building with black painted frame and panels in red. This is a common feature of east Jutland. East Jutland timber frames are also characterised by solid and well-crafted timberwork. The roof was originally thatched, but is now tiled as the building is used as a museum depot.
